We took a mini-vacation (3 day, 2 nights) at a state park on the Hudson River.
We enjoyed eating and cooking outdoors (corn on the cob roasted over the fire and peaches and berries in tinfoil on the grill were big hits) and taking hikes on the trail along the river.
The girls enjoyed watching daddy long-legs, Dad's tales of the large furry creatures making noise around the cabin at night (and leaving a few footprints), wild turkey, deer, snakeskin left behind, and a hawk that joined us for dinner, water gun fights, glow sticks, and collecting branches for the fire pit to make the corn.
Geneva is already planning our return next year!
