As I'm reading an article in the Wall Street Journal on anthropologists studying why American children rely on their parents to do things they can do for themselves (among other things) and in the middle of a particular section about how young children are expected to make significant contributions to the life of the community...Geneva calls from the bathroom:
"Hey, Mom. Can you get the cleaners down from way up high so that I can clean the toilet for you?!"
Phew.
