She's been carrying this pomelo around the apartment ever since we brought them home from the market. She hugs it, pushes it around in her doll stroller, and lovingly -lays her head on it.
This little girl is going to be a gourmet foodie one day....if she isn't already. O.k. we will ask a Philly question and look like backwater people......what is a pomelo?
That's hilarious! I remember P went through a similar stage. We couldn't take him to the supermarket without him pitching a fit every time we passed the oranges display. He thought they were all balls for him to play with, and why weren't we letting him play with them? :)
So to make up for it, we'd let him hold a plastic-wrapped brick of cheese during the shopping trip, which he would lovingly cradle and talk to the whole time. We called it his pet cheese. I guess this is her pet Chinese grapefruit! :)

It's a Chinese grapefruit (it's much larger, and not as bitter).
Not as bitter... then what is the point of a grapefruit!?!?!
(PS-I'd never heard of it either.)
Someday she will fondly recall when she was a little girl and she had an imaginary grapefruit-ish friend :)
