Both are wearing their favorite uniform: princess nightgown on one and rain boots and a diaper on the other.
This is what Geneva settled on once she finally accepted that this morning their favorite game of building and playing on the couch cushions was out of the question since they were just washed.
It seems that on the beautiful sunny days they get into a groove and want nothing more than to play quietly together and listen to audiobooks and no matter how fervently I conjole them they will not be persuaded to do something outdoors. But if it's cold, grey, and rainy then they want to go to the zoo and park!
(The audiobook is Uncle Wiggily stories).

Well, Mom, go figure. By the way, Uncle Wiggily books were my very favorite as a child! We also had a Uncle Wiggily board game that I used to play with my cousins. Some things never change.
