Sleepy Friday

Friday morning exhaustion from a hard week of "school": Walks out of room; lays down on a pile of couch cushions, and falls back asleep for an hour. I think all the work we've been doing on her fine motor skills (cutting, coloring, and gluing) is wearing her out.

Finding letters in magazines, cutting them out, and gluing them in order: The "g" was the first letter she cut and the "e" in the lower right corner was the last letter at the end of the week - WHAT A DIFFERENCE! She worked so hard with those scissors.

(The "N" in the middle was put there by me. Little sister stripped the first away and I covertly put a new one on - she hasn't noticed the difference.)

A picture of one of those terrifying bird eating Amazon rain forest tarantulas we saw the video of the children roasting like marshmallows.

She loves mazes she's already halfway through her second maze book in two weeks.

After reading about rain forests for a week; she had to cut and paste the animals into the layer of the rain forest where they live.
